Children & Youth > Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry is a place where children from nursery school age all the way through 5th grade are taught Biblical principles.  Our desire is to partner with parents to raise our children with Godly standards in accordance to His Word.  We use a variety of curriculum to enhance your child’s experience in church. The children are taught how God's Word applies to thier daily lives, to pray, to rely on faith and to put their trust in God. Many of our teachers and helpers have numerous years of experience in Children’s Ministry. We warmly welcome newcomers and visitors.

Our church vision to “Strengthen Families” flows down into our Children’s Ministry.  We strive to accomplish this through the teaching of God’s Word, promoting salvation through Jesus Christ, participating in worship, cultivating Godly friendships, and raising up leaders among our children and youth.

Our Classrooms

Parents are encouraged to ask the teachers about the lessons each week so that you can discuss them with your children and reinforce at home what they have learned in the classroom.  All classes begin after worship when Pastor dismisses the children from the sanctuary, with the exception of our Nursery, which is open at the beginning of each service (9:00 & 10:45).

During the 9:00 am service our Nursery is available for newborns and pre-school aged toddlers.  During our 10:45 am service our Nursery is available for newborns through 2 years old.  This room also open during our Wednesday service at 7 pm for newborns through Pre-K. Our Nursery is adequately staffed with trained volunteers. All children are to be signed in when bringing them into the Nursery. A diaper bag with a change of clothes, extra diapers, bottles, snacks or other essentials should be provided by the parents.

Veggie Patch

This classroom is open during our 10:45 am service for pre-school aged children (ages 3-5 who are not yet in Kindergarten). The Veggie Patch uses the "Buzz" Pre-School Curriculum by Group Publishing. Our teachers and helpers are dedicated to this early childhood development. This class is a great way for our toddlers to learn to interact socially, while receiving engaging Biblical teaching suitable for their age level. This classroom is combined with our Nursery for our Wednesay evening service at 7:00 pm.

Heir Force Room

Open for our 10:45 am service for students who are in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.  Our Heir Force classroom combines with The LOFT on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Our teachers use a variety of methods to communicate basic Biblical truths and get the children personally involved in the lesson.

The LOFT (Living Our Fathers Truth)

For 3rd through 5th grade students, this classroom is open Sundays for our 10:45 am service.  On Wednesday evenings at 7pm they are joined by the Heir Force students.  The LOFT uses an interactive lesson plan to really dive into the Word and solidify the base they were taught in the Heir Force Room. This age group is pivotal in that this is where a lot of children will come to a cross roads and make a decision to follow Jesus Christ and even get baptized.  This age group is encouraged to pray openly for each other in class.

Children’s Worship

We believe worship can and should be a powerful experience for the entire family.  Children are encouraged to participate in corporate worship in the sanctuary and will be dismissed by Pastor to their classes when our worship service is over.

Our Guidelines

The teachers and helpers are not responsible for any children left unattended in the hallways or classrooms before church starts. No children should be dropped off by parents unattended in any classroom for any reason. Parents should escort their children to and from class with the exception of the LOFT Classroom, where that will be left to the discretion of the parents. For safety reasons, children should not be permitted to run through the hallways of the church or engage in behavior that could cause damage to church property. While we love our children, as a courtesy to others, crying or disruptive children should be removed from the sanctuary so as to not interrupt the flow of the Holy Spirit or the speaker. Snack is provided for the children in some of our classrooms so please make the teachers aware of any food allergies.  In addition, if there are special needs they should be brought to the attention of the teacher.
